Here’s how you can help us make a difference

How  do I donate vinyl or CDs?

Please bring them down to the A Novel Idea shop at 9 Queen Street, Godalming, during opening hours (please don’t leave them outside if we are closed).

If you have a large collection to donate and need help transporting them please use our contact form to get in touch and we will do our best to help

What happens to the proceeds from donations?

We are a non-profit organisation and all profits go to the local charity Catalyst.

What kind of genres do you want?

We are interested in all genres and eras 

Do you accept old or damaged records?

Our preference is for vinyl that has been well looked after so that we are able to maximise the proceeds for charity.

Provided the vinyl is playable and can be resold we accept records of all ages. We do not accept shellac.

How can I help?

The best way is by buying records from us and telling your family and friends about us both in person and through social media.

We would also love to hear from you if you have any ideas how we might improve our offering. We are here to listen!

What about hands on help?

It takes a lot of time and effort to source and prepare the stock we sell, so more hands are always welcome. It can be a lot of fun too!
